How to Drink More Water

Hey Food Finders!

It’s summertime, which means that the sky high temperatures, and more time spent outside by the pool, beach, or at backyard barbecues, makes staying hydrated even more essential to your health and wellness than usual!

But sometimes drinking water just gets BOoOoOoRING...

Finding Ways to Enjoy your Water

I’m always trying to find way to enjoy drinking my water.  For me, and hopefully for you, the addition of bright colors makes drinking water more fun & enjoyable.  I am a “color girl” and have always been drawn to bright colors. They make me happy and put a smile on my face.

2 Tips for Making your Water Intake More Colorful:

Tip #1

This first tip is an “oldie but goodie.” Add a variety of cut-up fruit to your water!

I always incorporate lemons, they are my favorite, but don't stop there! Add in Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, oranges, limes, honeydew, cantaloupe, or even cucumbers and mint for their refreshing flavors. They make the water taste great and look oh-so-pretty! When I add an assortment of fruit, I am constantly reaching for my water.

Tip #2

Secondly, I LOVE colorful water bottles and funky water glasses. I have a tons of water bottles with different colors, and some with motivational sayings on them as well.

Forget those plain bottles from the convenience store and the boring old glasses in the cupboard.

Get an assortment of colorful bottles and funky fun glasses (I personally love drinking from Ball Mason Jars) that make you happy and smile, with fun bright colors that make you WANT to drink from them! An assortment of brightly colored water bottles (or just one great one) could be all you need to make that daily quota easy-breezy.

Tip #3

Combine BOTH ideas together for a powerhouse method that will get you excited about increasing your water intake and staying hydrated. You'll be happily drinking your water all day long, keeping you full, and preventing dehydration!
