Guilt-Free Dips

Hey Sunshine! ☼

I love a creamy, flavorful, textured dip that is usually loaded with tons of sour cream and mayonnaise, fat, and calories. They are so addictive, especially when you pair them with salty chips. It is a delicious recipe for disaster! You know how it is, once you get started, it is impossible to stop. Can you relate?

2 Amazing Guilt Free Dips

I have recently discovered 2 amazing guilt-free dips from Trader Joe’s! I know they have been around quite a while, but I didn’t have a Trader Joe’s near my home.  I finally got to shop at TJ’s and these 2 dips jumped off the shelf and into my cart!

  1. Reduced-Guilt Spinach & Kale Greek Yogurt Dip

This tastes exactly like the spinach, artichoke, water chestnut dip that people serve in a hollowed out bread bowl!  That dip is usually loaded with mayo making it a nutritional disaster if you are trying to eat healthy. While this does have a little mayo in it, the first ingredient is Greek yogurt which drives the fat and calories way down. Loaded with spinach, kale, water chestnuts, red peppers, carrots, green onion, and spices, it’s a creamy and flavor-filled nutritional bonanza! This dip has 50% less calories than the traditional version. 2 tablespoons are only 30 calories.  Totally Guilt-free!

2. Reduced Guilt Chunky Guacamole

I love avocados and fresh guacamole! And while avocados are healthy fats, it’s a slippery slope when it comes to portion size.  I always want to eat more than is really healthy for me. Enter Trader Joe’s Reduced Guilt Guac. All I can say is Wow! It has 50% less fat and 40% less calories than traditional guacamole, but tastes just as good, if not better in my opinion! It is made with Haas avocados, Greek yogurt, tomatoes, onions, lime juice, cilantro, jalapeno, garlic, and spices. 2 tablespoons are only 30 calories.  Another totally guilt-free dip!

Bring On The Summer BBQ’s

So bring on those summer BBQs without fear of the chips & dip bowl! Serve a platter of cut up veggies and these two dips and no one will know the difference, they are that good. These lightened up versions of the traditional will definitely bring joy to your taste buds and to your spirit!

Side Note: For those people who don’t like the tang of Greek yogurt, these dips don’t taste like yogurt at all, just creamy goodness.

Eat & Enjoy!
