This Simple Act Will Change Someones Life
Hey Sunshine! ☼
I have been doing volunteer work since I was 14 years old and I will blog about the great effects of volunteer work in a future post. However, there are times in life where you just don’t have time to volunteer but you still want to help make a difference to the causes that you believe in and that desperately need your help.
What Matters Most To You?
For me personally, championing the causes of the needs of animals, the elderly, and feeding the hungry rank the highest. These causes touch me so deeply and I always want to do what I can to help. Sometimes its giving my time, and sometimes its giving a donation to those organizations that could really use it.
You Don’t Have To Be Rich
You don’t have to be rich to donate. Every organization I know is so happy when people donate $1 when they can. Even $5 goes a long way to bringing needed aid to underserved populations. These organizations need money to run and serve their clients, so anything you can spare helps them ten-fold!
One Person’s Trash Is Another’s Treasure
You also don’t have to donate money. You can donate clothing, canned goods, household items, and old computers! Animal shelters are always in need of sheets, blankets, cleaning supplies, toys, and food for their animals. Just make sure all items are clean and in good condition.
You Won’t Regret It
The Lightened Up activity of making a donation to a cause that is important to you will undoubtedly make you feel immediately lighter, and give you that good feeling that you are making a difference in the world.
Try it and let me know how it feels!
